Spring Has Sprung!

Griffin has enjoyed lovely blue skies at Marion Park this month.  The routine: up at 6, breakfast, go to childcare at the gym (mom can watch G play with the other kids on the TV monitor), go to park, nap (2 hours!), lunch, play inside until Mom can't take being inside with such a mischievous imp any longer (rolls of toilet paper tremble in fear of G and are forced to hide in the most bizarre spots in the bathroom), go to park, Daddy meets at the park to great celebration (Griffin does a dance and yells "DA--DDDEEEEE!"), dinner at 7, bath at 7:30, hopefully asleep by 8:30.
This month we started letting G watch Seseme Street.  Perhaps he is too young, but mommy and daddy are enjoying reliving their youth and find inspiration in the songs (we all dance if it's good) and games.   He only watches a few minutes at a time right now as his attention span is quite short.  Favorite part of the show: where Elmo askes a baby a question.  G loves babies!
Celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival at Eastern Market with Morris dancers.  G also got a favorite new toy that day from the local toy store -- a toy tool box.
Arbor Day celebration at Brent Elem.  Mayor Anthony Williams attended the event.  By the time G starts, the tree will be so big and healthy!
After weaning down to twice a day for past few months, G and mom have backslid.  When at home or when other nurslings are about at the park, G often begs and pleads for "nu-nu," seemingly shocked that Mommy would even consider denying such a reasonable and healthy snack.  Mommy occasionally gives in -- after all, she'll be back at work soon enough and then weaning will be much easier.
