        Summer fun on West Coast!

Carousel  at Seaside, Oregon, with Cammy -- just beautiful!!
At the Blue Heron Creamery on the Oregon Coast we saw many farm animals.  Griffin was very excited by the cows, but also loved the little lambs.  A few days later Mommy bought a little Beanie Baby lamb that he called "pee-pee", then "Pepe" (Daddy encouraged the name change!) and lately just "Lamb".  Griffin LOVES lamb!  His first toy that he really cares about and uses to express his imagination ("Lamb needs to go potty"; "I changed lamb's diapers"; etc.).
Griffin's current obsession with fire trucks was satisfied by tours of firestations in Seaside, Gearhart, Portland, and Monroe!  At many places Griffin got to get into the firetrucks and even go for a ride with the firefighters!  The picture of Howard above and Cammy below left were taken at the old  Astoria firestation which is now a firetruck museum.  Howard is playing the role of fire dispatcher-- the "Turnout" was a lot of fun for us all to try on-- at left Griffin as admiring the heavy coat. And look at his real firefighter hat!
Visiting with Papa and his girlfriend Susan at her lovely home in Monroe, Washington -- Griffin particularly enjoyed spotting a big frog in the pond behind her house.  Very nice for all of us to meet her!
Carla and Jack visited from New Jersey with their little boy Benjamin -- hardly little, actually!  Look at the size of his head compared to Griffin's!
Fourth of July on Capitol Hill!  Griffin loved the parade-- the Marines, the Princesses, the family-made floats, the bake sale to raise money for the high school band -- it's a little bit of small town in our backyard.
Griffin's friend Rebecca with her mom, Bettina. Since then, Rebecca and Griffin have been assigned to the same pre-school class.
